HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR EPTS STUDENTS!

From August 27 to September 2, 2026, 27 of our brilliant EPTS students across 9 teams stepped onto the international stage at the World Scholar’s Cup 2026: Global Round, hosted right here in Bangkok!

Competing against scholars from 39 countries, from the US and UK to Japan, Australia, and beyond, our students brought home an incredible array of trophies, gold, and silver medals across debates, collaborative writing, and academic challenges!

Here are a few highlight moments from the week:

Top Debate Highlights:

Bright (P) (M.2/352) took home 2nd Runner-Up Overall in the Junior Debate Champions!

Team PDS 549 (Poon, Boon, & Namnueng) secured 4th Runner-Up Overall in Junior Team Debate!

Writing Champions & Academic Excellence:

Team PDS 950 (Pakorn, Jaebom, & Smart) placed 4th Runner-Up Overall in Senior Team Writing!

Dozens of individual gold and silver medals swept across all 6 subjects: Arts & Music, History, Literature, Science, Social Studies, and Special Area.

HISTORIC FIRSTS FOR PDS & THAILAND:

For the very first time in history, PDS students were selected by WSC to represent Thailand as official National Flag Bearers during the closing ceremony! A massive congratulations to Lynn (Junior Division) and Yujeen (Senior Division) for carrying our nation’s flag with such pride and grace.

Special shoutout to Yujeen once again, he was uniquely chosen by WSC to represent Thailand as the official interviewer, sharing his past and present experiences across the Regional, Global, and Tournament of Champions rounds as a 3-time WSC veteran!

Special Coach Recognition:

A huge shoutout to Ajarn Nithiz Onkeawmanee, who was honored with the prestigious “Coach of the Year” Award for his exceptional leadership and dedication to our students, alongside co-advisor Mr. Gary Sakuma!
