On December 11, 2009 Ponn took part in a speaking contest at Prasanmit School with the theme, "Sustainable Learning".  She placed 2nd in the speaking competition.

We will be adding many new features during the coming months.  The EPTS Website's primary goal is to inform students, parents and other interested parties about the EPTS Program.  Also, you can find a link to EPTS Online where many teachers have a "virtual" classroom.

EPTS Debate Team Wins Debate Championship

Recently the “4th Thailand High School National Debating Championships ” took place from 7-10 November 2009 and were held at Assumption University, Suvarnabhumi Campus. The trophy of “Her Royal Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn” was awarded to the champion team.

The champion team and students who place in the top ten  will be invited to join in the “Debate Try-Out Training Program” during December 2009 to January 2010 in order to select 6 students for the “Thailand National Debate Team”.  These students will compete in the “World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC)”. This year the World Schools Debate Championship will be hosted by Qatar Debate in Doha, Qatar from 8th -19th February 2010. The Head Coach of the Thailand National Debate Team is Phra Ajarn Chainarong Sangsranoi.

Students Win Grand Prize in Korea

Recently Tunchanok Chutumstid (Aim) and Pearamon Tulavardhana (Pea) from Matayom 3 won the Grand Prize in the 2009 World Creativity Festival held in Korea.

Hua Hin Distance Learning Project

On March 21, 2009 Ajarn John and Ajarn Michael travelled to the Hua Hin with the Matayom 5 (Grade 11) students to give three lessons on "Presentation Skills" for His Majesty the King's Distance Learning Program on DLTV.  The Matayom 5 students did an excellent job and were called upon to give examples of an informative speech, demonstrative speech, and persuasive speech. This was the second show of a three part series on "presentation skills".

 

 

 

The next show will be January 30, 2009 from 9:00 am to 12:00 am.

Kim and Due Attend Science Camp in Japan

10 representatives from Thailand will join the Asian Science Camp 2009 (Physics & Chemistry) taking place in Tsukuba, Japan from August 2-8, 2009. The website can be found here: Asian Science Camp 2009

Nipun in The Nation and The Bangkok Post

Nipun (Disney) recently won a silver medal in the International Math Olympiad (IMO) in Germany last week. Nipun helped Thailand place 7th among 104 countries competing in the competition. Nipun appeared in the Wednesday, July 29th edition of the Nation's Daily Express (pictured 2nd from left).

Ms. Sinthawat to visit the Ukraine

Ms. Chindapat Sinthawat (Piin) M3/343 has been selected to represent Thailand at the International Childrens' Festival in the Ukraine. The theme of the festival is, "Let's Change the World for the Better!" and will take place from July 15th to August 6th, 2009.
